International Requirements

    Financial 
    As with any expanding franchise system, we receive many inquiries from people interested in buying a franchise. To measure a candidate's qualifications, we have established the following requirements:
  • • Required liquid assets: Minimum of US $1 million per restaurant.
  • • Required net worth per restaurant of US $1 million.
  • • The minimum Area Development requirement for new franchisee is five restaurants.
  • • Therefore the minimum unencumbered liquid assets required are US $5 million and net worth of US $5 million.
  • • The Operator is an equity partner of at least 5%.
  • • No more than 80% of the start-up costs be leveraged; 20% of any single store's start-up costs must be in liquid assets.
    Development Location
  • • Freestanding pad-site locations, on hard corner at 5,000 to 7,000 sq. ft..
  • • End caps, ground-floor locations at 4,000 to 6,000 square feet with >50’ frontage.
  • • Dedicated seats >200 + outdoor seating.
  • • Dedicated Parking >65 + shared parking.
  • • Excellent signage and visibility, highly prominent and immediately visible upon entering trade area.
  • • Excellent site ingress and egress with traffic signal and proximity to parking.
  • • Centered within the leisure/retail hub.
  • • Seven-day-per-week liquor sales.
  • • Exceptions for smaller or non-traditional sites considered on a case-by-case basis depending on market.
    Trade Area
  • • Access to 100,000+ population, focused on A/B demographic with reach to C+, singles 18-40 years old and families with young children.
  • • Destination Trade Area with heavy traffic and consumer activity.
  • • Strong weekend and evening relevance.
  • • Significant daytime draw, proximity to CBD.
  • • More CDRs, less QSRs.
    Traffic Generators
  • • Lifestyle leisure, retail, and entertainment presence.
  • • International and strong regional brands.
  • • Cineplex with >10 screens.
  • • Malls at top 10% visitor count for target demographic.
  • • Colleges, universities.
  • • Healthcare corridors.
    Traffic
  • • High pedestrian traffic or professional corridors.
  • • Minimum daily traffic count of 30,000 cars with direct access to restaurant.
  • • Going-home traffic on far corner of traffic light.

Operations

  • •Each franchise group must have a person with multi-unit restaurant operations management experience which includes experience with alcohol. If you do not personally have this background and experience, you will be required to have what we call a "Control Person." Your Control Person will be responsible for operations of your franchised restaurant network. It is your responsibility to secure a Control Person if you do not already have this experience and will not be actively working in operations on a daily basis.
  • •Each franchise restaurant location must at all times have a full-time, qualified, experienced General Manager (GM). The GM must have direct experience in unit-level management in the casual dining environment that included alcohol.
